Our Hotel Pass Lueg is a business that has been run with love by multiple generations of our family over the course of more than 70 years.

Rosa Kurz purchased the guesthouse back in 1957, even before the Tauern Autobahn ran past here. Through-traffic had to travel over Pass Lueg back then, with drivers taking advantage of our house if they chose to spend the night or stop in for a tasty meal. In 1971, it was handed over to Friedrich and Berta Kurz. Within just a brief time, Hotel Pass Lueg became a first-class address for traditional and exceptional Austrian cuisine.

In 2009, after almost 40 years, it was our turn – Stefanie and David Kurz – to take over the business. We carried on the proven tradition, coupled with fresh modern ideas, also earning certification for Gasthof Pass Lueg as a Genusswirt in 2014.

In 2017, our concept changed: in the springtime, summer and autumn, we pamper our individual guests with a magical, variety-filled breakfast buffet. While in the winter months, for tour groups of 20 or more people we now offer accommodations including half-board. In summer, too, larger groups are also welcome to book dinner with advance notice.
